Danny Elfman’s Batman Score Study with Tim Rodier

We’re thrilled to take our second look at the music of Danny Elfman, as we crack open his classic 1989 superhero score to Batman. Directed by Tim Burton and based on the DC Comics character, it’s the first movie the long-running series. We’ll be taking a detailed look at a selection of representative cues from the score, and take them apart instrument-by-instrument to understand how Elfman was able to achieve these classic sounds.
We’ll be joined by Omni Music’s Tim Rodier. Omni Music publishes the official score to Batman, and we highly encourage our members to purchase a copy of the full score to be able to dig deeper into Elfman’s genius.
