James Horner Aliens Score Study – Virtual Event

Join us online on Saturday, August 27 at 10am PT for our latest score study, a deep dive into James Horner’s remarkable 1986 score for Aliens. It was Horner’s first Oscar nomination, and a unique one in that much of the score did not make it to the final edit of the movie. We’ll discuss the tension between Horner and director James Cameron, and look at the soundtrack recording of the score to understand Horner’s approach and techniques. Our mockup teams are hard at work preparing excerpts from the score so we can take it apart in trademark ASA fashion.

We will be joined live from the UK by publisher Chris Siddall, whose company publishes the full score for Aliens, as well as many others.
