Back by popular demand! Join us on Zoom on March 19th as we continue to look at select cues from the classic sci-fi action scores: David Arnold’s 1996 score to Independence Day. This is a continuation of our score study on Feb. 12th, but all ASA members are invited to attend!
The ASA’s mockup team has created stems , so we will be able to provide an instrument-by-instrument insight into how the score was put together. The score for Independence Day is perhaps best remembered for its rousing, patriotic bombast, however there is beauty and introspection in the quieter cues which should not be overlooked.
