Jerry Goldsmith’s Mulan Score Study

Join us on Saturday, March 18 as we examine Jerry Goldsmith’s seven-minute overture to Mulan. Veteran ASA members know that we love taking apart a Goldsmith score, and this Academy Award nominated score offers a rich treasure trove into the fantasy writing that perfectly marries Disney with Jerry. We’ll play back the score and talk about its composition and orchestration, and isolate elements so we can learn from the master.
