June 13, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Ginny and Georgia is the breakout hit of the year on Netflix, telling the story of free-spirited young widow Georgia and her two kids, Ginny and Austin, who move to suburban Massachusetts in search of a fresh start and to escape a mysterious past. The genre-spanning show features a score by Lili Haydn and Ben Bromfield.

Lili Haydn has played violin, sung, and opened for everyone from Herbie Hancock, Sting, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Roger Waters, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and George Clinton’s P-Funk All Stars to name a few. Lili’s film composing career started as part of Hans Zimmer’s team, a fellowship with the Sundance Institute, and has blossomed into multiple feature films, documentaries, and series to her credit. Lili won Best Music at the Milan International Film Festival, and scored Oscar-winner Freida Lee Mock’s documentaries ANITA and RUTH: Justice Ginsburg in Her Own Words, as well as Oscar-nominee Michele Ohayon’s Netflix documentary Strip Down Rise Up. Since the release of her last solo album LiliLand in 2014, the former child prodigy and long-active member of the Alliance of Women Film Composers has also scored The House That Jack Built and Sundance Selects’ Driver X; contributed additional score to seasons 2 & 3 of the Emmy winning series Transparent; won a Grammy award for her band Opium Moon’s self titled debut record, and given four high-impact TED presentations.

Ben Bromfield is a two-time BMI-award-winnning composer for film, television, and video games out of Boston, MA. A lifelong jazz pianist, Ben graduated Berklee College of Music in 2010 and has lived in Los Angeles ever since. He is known for his score of the Dreamworks television series, Boss Baby: Back in Business, and the new Netflix series, Ginny & Georgia. Ben is an expert in animation scoring, having composed the score for the Dreamworks Where’s Waldo? series, and having contributed music to several other popular animated shows. In film, Ben has made his mark scoring such indies as BOOM!: A Film About The Sonics, a documentary telling the story of one of the most influential 60’s rock bands, The Salzburg Story, a romantic comedy which won ‘Best Feature Film’ at the California International Film Festival, and Borderland, an action/thriller featuring performances by Bruce Dern and Peter Fonda.
