Kevin Kiner and the Music of Ahsoka

Kevin Kiner discusses his score to the hit show “Ahsoka” on Disney+! This was hardly the beginning of Kevin’s involvement in the Star Wars Universe, having previously scored over 200 episodes of the animated shows “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars Rebels”. Kevin talks about his process of going from mockup to stage, recording each episode with live orchestra at the Newman Stage on Fox Studios. Co-composers Sean and Deana Kiner and orchestrator Nolan Markey join him, discussing their contributions to the score and their collaborative process. They dig into specific cues from the series, hearing how the music has evolved from both the original scores from the films and Kevin’s own themes from the previous shows, as the characters make their transitions from animation to live-action.
