Jeff Toyne and the Music of Palm Royale

The ASA is excited to head over to Bandrika Studio to host a discussion featuring composer Jeff Toyne and his music for Apple TV+’s Palm Royale! Jeff created a unique musical style for Palm Royale that fuses Henry Mancini and Bernard Herrmann with a Latin twist. The use of specific instruments like Chromatic Harmonica and Autoharp paid homage to these vibrant sounds. The intricate Latin rhythm is accompanied by vocals inspired by Yma Sumac and the Swingle Singers. Jeff will take us through his creative process and discuss how experimentation led to creating the show’s sonic identity. This event is a must for anyone looking to learn more about dramatic and comedic scoring!
