Coming to America Score Study with Jermaine Stegall

Join us on Sunday, March 14 at 10am Pacific Time for an exclusive look at the music to Coming 2 America, the long-awaited sequel to Eddie Murphy’s original 1988 comedy. Breakout composer Jermaine Stegall will join us to discuss his approach to this iconic property, how he honored the sound of the classic original, and how he brought his unique perspective to the new chapter. We’ll talk with Jermaine about some of the cues, study how they were put together, and look at how they work to picture.
Coming 2 America is set to debut on Amazon Prime on March 5. Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.
