Join us on February 12 as we crack open one of the classic sci-fi action scores: David Arnold’s 1996 score to Independence Day. We’ll take a look at select cues from the movie and break them down, with the ASA’s mockup team providing us instrument-by-instrument insight into how the score was put together.
The score for Independence Day is perhaps best remembered for its rousing, patriotic bombast, however there is beauty and introspection in the quieter cues which should not be overlooked.
