At this LA Ravel, Ron Jones leads us in the final score study session of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, beginning at rehearsal marker 180. Of this study, Ron says: “It’s been a long journey of discovery, but so worth it. Igor does not give up his secrets easily. One major goal of the study is to uncover not only the orchestration, but the actual creative process, so that we can apply those aspects as we work and create our own epic works. Stravinsky’s score is epic and so has been the study. We will look at the last parts and sum up.”
