Composer Jeff Morrow and orchestrator Jordan Seigel discuss the score for the Disney live-action Snow White, just one week after the film’s theatrical release. They cover everything that went into writing, orchestrating and recording this reboot of what is arguably Disney’s most essential title, their first animated feature, and the movie that launched them as a studio of feature films.
Snow White is directed by Marc Webb and produced by Marc Platt with songs by Pasek and Paul. Jeff Morrow composed the score, featuring a 100-piece orchestra, alongside of which you can hear him as the whistling voice of Dopey!
No stranger to timeless classics, Jeff is currently expanding the rich musical history of The Peanuts as the composer selected by Apple and the Schulz family to score Snoopy in Space, The Snoopy Show, Camp Snoopy, Who Are You, Charlie Brown? and six specials, including To Mom (and Dad), with Love, which earned him an Emmy nomination. He also refreshed the sound of a Warner Brothers favorite with A Christmas Story Christmas, directed by Clay Kaytis.
