We had a blast dissecting the villain theme at our first Superman score study event, so much so that we ran out of time! It was an invigorating discussion, focusing on Williams’ clever use of dissonance and scales to represent the characters of Lex Luthor and Otis. On Saturday, December 10th, we’ll continue our exploration of John Williams’ 1978 Superman score. For Part 2 we’ll look at the romantic harmonies and orchestration of the gorgeous love theme.
